The Bee’s Knees is an expression that means “the height of excellence.” It came from “the b’s and e’s,” which was shorthand for “the be-all’s and end-all’s.” I like how it reminds me of bees, of course, who give honey and other good stuff. Did you know that bees carry pollen on their knees? They pick it up from the flowers and bring it back to the hive. Good stuff!
